Bringing Cultural Inspiration and Ecological Awareness to Port Orange’s Iconic Dunlawton Bridge
January 13th, 2024 marked the beginning of ArtHaus’ journey to beautify the Dunlawton Bridge through a series a murals spanning under and across the east end of the bridge that will feature local marine wildlife.

ArtHaus Values
Our mission is to instill creativity & self-expression in our youth & community. What better way to inspire our community and millions of Port Orange visitors than by leaving a meaningful and iconic series of murals to aid in the revitalization of the Dunlawton Bridge?

Creating a Port Orange Legacy
Through the City of Port Orange’s adoption of the Down Under Revitalization Project, our local residents & visitors will have the opportunity to experience outdoor dining & recreation while being surrounded by immersive art & our breath-taking Halifax River. ArtHaus is proud to save the City of Port Orange taxpayers over $175,000 through its mural series to help make this dream possible.
Community Involvement
The initial design for the column murals under the bridge was created by Morgan Siple, 15, a then freshman at Spruce Creek High School and long-time art student & volunteer at ArtHaus Foundation. The entirety of the mural series renderings has been designed to complement Ms. Siple’s vision while celebrating our local marine wildlife in larger-than-life paintings. ArtHaus plans to allow our youth & community to be a part of the mural process, with volunteer painter registration, sponsorship opportunities, and potential school fieldtrip opportunities.

ArtHaus Timeline
In order to minimize any interruptions to local commerce throughout the year, ArtHaus has developed a strategy for the application of the murals to be completed in stages over a four-year period. Artists will work in December & January of each year to complete murals on all 8 east-side support columns, sidewalls & under-wall embankment.
